- Choose your category. MIFF 2027 has eight core competition categories — from Best Feature Film to Best Wildlife, Environment & Conservation Film. Explore the 2027 categories.
- Submit on FilmFreeway. All entries go through MIFF’s official FilmFreeway listing — upload your screener and details there.
- Selection & notification. Programmers review every eligible entry; filmmakers are notified on the notification date shown above.
- Screen at MIFF 2027. Selected films screen in Mbombela and the Kruger, with filmmaker Q&As, industry access and awards.
You keep your rights
